Tennessee Lost Dog Reunited with Owner - October 27, 2011 - Part 2 - The Conclusion

The four-year-old Jack Russell terrier, who had been missing for over three months was reunited with his owner on Thursday, October 27, 2011, in Erin, Tennessee. There were lots of tears of joy shed that morning. He was even treated to a t-bone steak, lots of treats, and hugs that were far too many to count. His owner, Mr. Jim Arrighi, had also lost his wife during the time Pedie was missing. He, along with so many other folks, believe his late wife played a big part in returning Pedie to him. Mr. Arrighi's heart was broken because he had now lost both of his companions. Pedie was taken to The Michigan Humane Society in Rochester Hills, Micigan, and scanned for a microchip like that they do all animals who are brought to the shelter. Mr. Arrighi was immediately notified that his dog had been located and identified in Michigan. I witnessed the homecoming and told him that the chip not only saved the dog's life, but his life as well. He now has a new lease on life. Petie won't leave his side and goes everywhere with him. He also told me there would be no more running around and playing outside without him being with him. This couldn't have happened to a nicer, kinder man. The timing seemed to be perfect because his wife had passed away only 2 and a half weeks ago. There was only one thing that could be done that would make him happy again since she couldn't come back - find Petie and return his dear beloved pet to him. They were married 37 years. I believe in miracles - do you?
