We welcome your comments and open dialogue in a respectful manner. If you choose to use inappropriate or offensive language as a means of dialogue however, your comment will respectfully be deleted. If you believe in Jesus then you must also believe He embodied the essence of love and compassion. That's all we are about.

Inspired by Terrence McNally's play about a young gay Jesus, the film follows a group of professional actors who began production of the play in a small church and suddenly found themselves thrust in the world spotlight, touring over four years to international acclaim. We follow the troupe and the playwright, sharing their stories with supporters and protesters as they continue their tour across the country to communities where hate and bigotry are much more prevalent. Mirroring the reflections of change in society today in regards to gay equal rights, gay marriage, and gay faith, this production has become a vehicle for a community struggling to find its voice. And the company of actors found themselves on a journey that would forever change their lives.

Shot on Sony HDR-FX1, Canon XH-G1, Canon 7D, Letus Extreme, and Nikon lenses. Edited on Avid.

  • I'm gay and I think this movie is offensive, because whatever there is freedom of expression, respect to the next has to be bigger!! We can not mock, play and even undo the faith of others to that for gays in terms of respect we have to first give the same respect.

  • @Crisfyle and that, my friend, is the point of this film exactly.

  • I think the play is a beautiful representation of art.....but! as a christian i feel that it has disrespected christian belief, i belief every one has the right to choose who they love it is not in our place as humans to judge. But because we are working towards giving rights to man to be free does not give us the excuse to change history to change or distort christian image of Jesus, any christian knows Jesus loved ALL MEN equally i think its wrong to have depicted him as what he was not

  • @kathwere thank you friend. it is indeed a beautiful representation of art and believe me, we are not here trying to change anyone's beliefs or perceived ideas of who Jesus was or was not. This piece of art is merely telling a story from a perspective that allows "ALL MEN" (as you so eloquently and respectfully wrote) a chance to be Loved by Him.

  • The text starts like this below the video: "We welcome your comments and open dialogue in a respectful manner. If you choose to use inappropriate or offensive language as a means of dialogue however, your comment will respectfully be deleted."

you are already disrespecting out believes and our Lord, Jesus was about compasion but also he was about speaking the thruth and exposing the sin, dont confuse Jesus's love with him been a passive guy that loved everybody

  • @joshuaRizoPatron If you believe in Jesus and his life on this earth, then you must also know Jesus spent most of His days sharing stories and love with the outcasts of the community. to say He didn't love everybody is in itself a contradiction. Jesus embodies, embraced, indeed WAS Love. There is no selective process in that unconditional connection to all humanity.

  • @combs68 The only clarity and truth that exists in God's Words is simple: Love one another. Human interpretation over thousands of years has unfortunately skewed some of His dialogue to become words of hate against others. And i mention other Levitical Laws because as you say they are all equally important to follow if you going to choose one. Eating shellfish is also "an abomination" (Lev 11:9-12) and so all these must be strictly followed too Lev 20:9, 20:18, 25:44-45, 19:27, 11:7, 19:19..

  • Bible says its wrong how much CLEARER do you guys want it ...GOD LOVES you ...but he HATES SIN....and the bible clearly states ..MAN for Woman and Woman for man ...NOOOOTTTTT..MAn on MAN and Woman on WOMAN ..how DARE any of you actually put in a play that Jesus was GAY ...and im seeing GAY PRIEST AND all that ...this is SODOMY ....if God Loved this he wouldn't have BURNED down SODOM AND GOMORRAH ...DO NOT OPEN YOUR EYES TO READ THE PARTS OF THE BIBLE THAT PLEASES YOU ......THIS IS REDICULOUS .

  • Matthew 5:

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

  • this video is wrong

  • GOD DOESN'T HATE HOMOSEXUALS.

    HE HATES HOMOSEXUALITY!!!

i believe this play is disrespecting the christian faith by saying my saviour was gay! thats everything he was against...

but, i dont think we should condemn gay people, just treat them like human beings but DONT ENCOURAGE THEIR HOMOSEXUALITY! ITS DISGUSTING

  • How about we make a gay. Version of everthing so the "gay" community feels special. Gay spunge bob. Gay barney. Gay elmo. Gay sports. Gay jobs. Gay schools. Gay markets. Lets all be gay because gay is the coolest thing! Infact why do we need why do we need straight people. We need to convert the whole world into gays!

  • Romans1:26-32 4 this reason God gave them up 2 vile passions 4 even their women exchanged e natural use 4 wat is against nature..Likewise also e men leaving e natural use of e woman burned in their lust 4 one another men with men committing wat is shameful & receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.. wo knowing e righteous judgment of God that thoz wo practice such things are deserving of death nt only do e same but also approve of those who practice them.

  • @jamesbrandon108....you spoke of shellfish, you could probable say slavery and pork as well remember we love the Old Testament but that was before Christ, Jesus its not what goes into a man that makes him unclean but what comes out of him but he never said homosexuality was made right by his death but let me tell you friend there is hope you're still living you can still get saved and one day make a video about your testimony on how God saved your life he loves you dont let the devil lie to u

  • This is abominable. But I guess we can expect this, as we are nearing the end times. The moral decay of society is just going to become worse. This is not art, this is what Romans 1 describes.

  • @volim i dont hate people who are doing this stuff i hate the act cause they should no better ..just like God he loves the person sooo much but he HATES SIN that resides in them so if @volim wants to call me a homophobic ..i rebuke that word in Jesus name and i rebuke you too for calling me that ...if you stand for nothing you will fall for everything

  • God loves all of his children BUT he doesn't like all of the thing we do LIKE homosexuality. I think its wrong to say that god hates gay people but I also think its wrong for gay people to be forcing their views on everybody else in this way.

  • Having to come form his heavenly abode grow and live amongst sinful humans because he loved us so much to understand our pains our struggles our levity.this is disrespect to persons who have a spiritual out look as well as religious outlook on life, to maintain peace we all have to strive to respect others and the thing that will motivate us to respect each other is having love for humans just as Christ did peace.
