  • Will it integrate their mind and body, and enlighten them to an interdisciplinary intelligence?

  • I don´t know about that, but what I do wonder is if they happen to have kids, will they inherit the parents modified DNA structure?

  • Humm, Something 2think about passing it N their DNA! Man I was so hyped about the Olympics I could hardly W8 4it! I've been watching day/night. I've done this for years. Dragging N2 work staying up late no sleep, I love it, I DVR it, diff stations @ once. Transferring it 2DVD watching online. BTW I never watch sports of any kind during the year, oh, except boxing. Which the scoring for all countries was messed up. But my faith N the Olympics are crashing fast! Just like the dopers will! *SMH*

  • Welcome to the genetic era.

  • What if this Virus mutates and kills the rest of the worlds human beings? Id say "I Am Legend"

  • While the benefits are tempting, the price can be fatal. Furthermore, where's the place for Pierre de Coubertin's words, that it's the competition that matters the most?

  • Normal muscle use results in microscopic tears to the muscle tissue, which triggers a process of regeneration―not the production of new muscle fibers to replace the old,but the patching up of existing fibers. In investigating how muscles repair themselves in this way, reserchers have identified a pro-growth factor they call insulin-like growth factor 1,and an anti-growth factor, myostain, which respectively encourage and discourage muscle cell division and protein production.

  • really?

  • @nadandoenloprofundo No, sperm cells aren't altered

  • @CelestialKindred ironically the germans are also the first ones to have innovated a reliable method of detecting gene doping with a simple blood test. Here is the article. Im not arguing against your point your probably right, but you may also find this interesting. medicalnewstoday . com/articles/199886.php

  • People thought steroids in sports was huge just give gene doping a few years...

I think eventually we will be designing ourselves and our kids.

  • @nadandoenloprofundo No they won't as gene therapies currently only target somatic cells (body cells) and not germ cells (sperm and egg cells), so they will not be passed onto their children.

  • usain is natural because if they decide to gene dope somone he certainly wont be jamaican.

  • yes

  • I am sure we will find a way of perfecting it, it is only a matter of time.

Besides I wouldn't believe everything the government dishes out.

  • @nazirdjon What price? The price of being healthy? And if you mean that if we create "super humans" they somehow will Dispise the rest of humanity.. why? why would a healthy human hate or try to kill the rest :S Is usain bolt evil? Were einstein evil? Why if someone was smarter than einstein or faster than usain you assume they will be "evil"??.....
