Man a lot of you are fucking idiots, who cares if gangs emerge due to people wanting to survive, they hurt people, they are bad and there is nothing glorious about it. Also if someone knows how to use it gun it doesn't matter what it is, it could be a fucking 19th century revolver if someone knows how to use it then it works.

The 50 cal version does not have very good accuracy but it's got the power for when you need it. The 44 and 357 versions are decent, though certainly not for everyone due to their size and weight.

@Treblaine I don't really think the scare factor has anything to do with it, if someone points a gun at you, your not gonna say "Ha that's only a beretta!" your going to be saying "oh shit a gun!!!" the model has no bearing on this as all guns kill people.

If some street punk is more scared of a Desert Eagle from it's movie/game reputation (that the little combat experience they lack) then it's a suitable tool for the "job" which is more about waving guns around than shooting them.

@Treblaine I didn't say anything about them being warriors, I said that the environment they live in is a very harsh one. So often people align themselves in a gang and do unsavory things just to gain some semblance of protection.
