Star Trekking

Our Boy Scout troop has taken the funny song "Star Trekking", added a couple verses, and made it into a skit that we performed at camporee and summer camp campfire programs. It has become so popular that in 1990 we performed the skit on a local television station. If you are a Star Trek fan, or like to see Star Trek made fun of, this video is for you.

Nice. I really have only one thing to say...

You don't orbit a planet at Warp 9. Ever. 9 is rarely used at all, and if you tried to orbit at warp 9...well, you kind of can't. Warp 9 is hundreds of thousands of times the speed of light. You'd orbit at about half impulse, under the speed of light. No warp, definitely.

Actually, it took practice to be able to perform this song without breaking out laughing. We felt it was best, and funniest, to act serious and stay in character during the song, but when the audience starts laughing it is very hard to keep from smiling. And I am one of the people in the video, but which one????

Entertaining, but it would have been so much better if they had actually been into it. The only one who had any real energy was the Scotty. They all acted like they were being forced into hell. Maybe they were just nervous about being on TV, but it definitely would have been better if they had had more fun.
