From the 1987 4AD video compilation "Lonely Is An Eyesore". Excellent but, sadly, short-lived band Dif Juz perform "No Motion".

  • desborda x todos sus lados......!!!!! tremendo video

  • I own the compilation album Lonely Is An Eyesore (on vinyl, of course) but never knew about a video release. Great post.

  • GORGEOUS

  • @caseyleonard Indeed, all those 4AD bands--Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, Lush--did quite well in the US. And in some cases, such as The Wolfgang Press, did even better. And the UK is not necessarily more open-minded: Love and Rockets, one of the great bands of the 80s, were thoroughly dismissed in England.

  • oh God, I miss the late 80s sooo much

  • @vaughntrapp what the hell are you talking about? Ever heard of Edward Gorey, Edgar Allan Poe, or even Gertrude Käsebier? The American influence on English music is an irrefutable argument.

  • Vaughntrapp, throwing muses who are on this compilation were from Boston. Needless to say, 4AD was the label for the Pixies. What level of art you feel is or isn't tolerated in "Amerika" shouldn't be decided from what you see on television

  • it's liike jazz shoe gaze... the coolest thing is make a video of guys playing guitars... and you don't say anything...it's great and it's funny..they were on the same album with the cocteau twins of course...

  • i actually own this video....haven't seen it in god's years...

still good isn't it.. .ahead of its time.....could only have come out of England as this level of Art was not (& is not) tolerated in Amerikan culture.....6 ratings.....still occupying its place in the attic of neglect i see. lonely indeed

  • again in yt!god bless...
