@Meila2SunsetBeach because Ben and Meg were the hyped couple for the show, they had a large fanbase, but what took the makers of the show by surprise was how quickly the Ben and Maria fanbase grew in a short time. Had the show continued Ben and Maria's fanbase would have overtaken the Ben and Meg fanbase. The makers of the show worked that out, because, they started to write Maria as the woman who understood everything about Ben.

They were setting up everything for future episodes that would find neither Maria, Ben or Meg happy in what they thought was the best solution. Maria giving Ben and Meg what they wanted. Carmen's prediction never came to pass because the show ended after being axed.

@Meila2SunsetBeach But in answer to your question yes Ben and Maria did have amazing chemistry and everything the scriptwriters worte about them as being a Force of Nature, that they were Phyically and Mentally connected came across clearly. This demonstrated, when Maria as the amnesic Dana got every question regarding Ben right and Meg got them wrong, even with no memory she knew Ben.

@semiEuphoria I agree, I think it was because Maria actually got Ben, she understood what made him tick. Ben and Maria's relationship in the show was discribed as being a mental and physical one, like a force of nature, this was how they were linked. Both had a stubborn streak a mile long yet they knew how to get around each other with ease.

Ben was always obsessing about maria to the pojnt where he was still running off to the marina to look for maria half an hour before his wedding to meg and then a few hours later he finds out she really is alve and we're supposed to believe he doesnt love her? ben was in some serious denial!

Now if they can write sexy scenes like this for John and Marty, we could be in for a treat.
