Step five: Providing Life with Colors.
This video provides a very basic glance at something that can become quite interesting, quite quickly (OpenGL's Shading Language). There are actually many ways to utilize what little bit is currently here. In this video, however, I'm changing multiple things simultaneously when moving the sliders around.
That said, this is a -simple- demonstration - it doesn't come close to demonstrating the maximum potential of even just these simple appearances.
Outside Credits:
The shaders used are only slightly modified from 3D Buzz's GLSL structure, located in Volume 3 of C++ Complete (OpenGL In-Depth). Their site:

I don't in any way own the grass texture used in this video; it was pulled from this site, provided by the user MrCrumplebottom1:

There is a second texture in use on the cube when the shaders are visible. This texture is a cloud texture, provided by AMD with their RenderMonkey program.
