This was my first amusement park. When i was there i was little & i remember saying when i get older i want to go here & go on big rides & turns out i have to go to cedar point.

OMG BEN FOLDS RULES!!!! Kudos on the music selection...I miss Geauga Lake!! Its like they stole my childhood...

:'( why did they do this? Why?

How could they tear it down. I go there every week to wild water kingdom and stare across the lake and say why. Almost everyone that went there has a good fun meriories. How could cedar fairs just crush the mermories. Well thats about thew only thing left to the park the mermories that everyone had there.

As hard as it was to say goodbye to Geauga Lake, I'll never stop going to Cedar Point for fear that the same thing might happen to it someday. I don't care who owns it or what those people did elsewhere. It's still my favorite amusement park with my favorite roller coaster, and I'm not about to watch it deteriorate like poor GL if I can do something about it. :(
Any Geauga Lake person who wishes bad things on other parks is just as selfish and mean as Dick Kinzel himself.

@SuperFlashDriver Because it wasnt doing anything to help their busniess. They couldnt just keep throwing money into the park and not make any profit. Dont get me wrong i miss that park it was great but i mean.. it wasnt exactaly six flags or cedar fairs fault. when the economy became bad geauga was losing attendance left amd right.

@Coreee0802 Man, Dick Kinsel.(Now I hate to say this but, WHY DID HE CLOSE THAT ENTIRE PARK!!!)
-
@Coreee0802 Thats exactly when Geauga Lake's (SF Worlds of Adventure) attendance was highest. So who cares. Cedar Point and Geauga Lake, both owned by same company. Make money from 2 parks, instead of upsetting the people. Right? Would you rather make money, or upset the people, thus making people hate your parks, thus making your attendance decline more. I mean did CF even think about it?
I totally agree with that closing statement, "Thanks Cedar Fair, for nothing." It says it all right there.
