Words can't describe how much sadness and anger I feel. As a megaman fan, as a person and also as a programmer, for the development team. They were open to the fan community? My ass, the utmost decision to cancel the game came out of nowhere and was absolutely unanimous without ANY inputon the part of fans.
Such an amazingly crafted project being shitted on by their publisher.
Shoulda seen it coming when they wanted to release a demo to gauge the success of the game. Said demo got delayed and ultimately canned along with the game itself.
Somehow I hope you reconsider and have another chance at Legends 3

Goodbye Megaman Legends 3...and probably the rest of Megaman series. Capcom doesn't even begin to care about you.

  • @Kevassa02 Anniversary? For GB yes but it was released for GC. Sure, there were cancelled games like localization for starforce shooting star and mm universe but they were only but a few. Never? I doubt that. What you're saying is Legends 3 would've been cancelled regardless. I doubt companies would just cancel such a beautifully rendered game just for the sake of harassment.

  • @HereticKain Megaman Universe and several games (like Megaman Anniversary GBA) were canned when he was there.

The cancellation was never and will never be up to him.

  • @Kevassa02 So your basis in this is the cancellation of his previous games and his atmospheric workplace, right?. Okay, I may not know the pressure a programmer may have but answering your question, if I were him- "So long as I can earn My Keep, make My Game and satisfy My Fans, who gives about what my Co-workers or Uppers think? You cancel my game? Fuck You- I'll make a better one and throw it at your face." But what did he do? He quit. Thus making dear MML3's cancellation inevitable

  • @suzushiiame It's not just Capcom, gaming industry has been treating a few franchises like shit for a while. And man, what the HELL happened with Resident Evil!?

  • @Kevassa02 yes capcom keeps destroying childhood games and even destroyed RE, DMC, Megaman and other great titles :/

  • as long capcom has those retards which buy everything they shit out like more unnessacary Marvel vs Capcom 3 sequels or charge for shit like Demos and codes, then that company would already run out of business unless they do work seriously

  • @HereticKain I don't know the details and I could be wrong. However we do know Inafune wasn't satisfied with what Capcom did to him. If you were in his shoes, would you keep working for a company that keeps treating you and your works in such a way? Not that that defends him but it gives him a very real reason to leave. I, as a programmer, realize how terrible these type of companies can be, and at times it cna be beyond unbearable.

  • @Kevassa02 Regardless of Capcom's disregard of the fan community, and even if the game wouldn't sell, if you truly love Megaman, you wouldn't just leave while the project was ongoing - that's still abandoning.

  • @HereticKain He went to create his own dev team. I don't agree with him leaving, yes, but it's not his direct fault his projects kept canned one after another and ultimately left.

  • Well, Mr "I" isn't that innocent either. How can the Megaman Franchise progress if its very own creator left it hanging?
