I somehow missed this episode, just watched. You are the best, basically saying what I usually want to say but don't have the right words to say it with. It's clear, concise and hilarious. Wish I could play this to every "post racial" idiot.

Biraciality is a relatively new privilege of identity, and certainly was much less common in Obama's generation. People who insist that being Black is somehow denying his heritage bleary have no grasp of history. Saying he " chose to identify as Black" suggests that he would have had the equal option to identify as White ( and we all know the nuthouse that would have landed him in.) The "post-racial" dialogue confuses the concepts of racial acceptance and racial blindness. It's cool if a person wants to self-identify without reference to race, or if (s)he identifies with each component of their racial heritage (a la Tiger Woods = "Camblasia"). But, this notion that Obama is not black is laughable. First, Obama self-identifies as black. Second, according to the one-drop racial schema that has dominated this country for hundreds of years he's Black. Third, have you seen him?
