  • is there ANYTHING that I can substitute for the coconut oil? I can't deal with the smell of coconut anything....please help?

  • @GOODENess357 try mango or cocoa butter also try refined coconut oil it doesn't have a scent.

    thank u for your question

  • did you melt your shea first in this video, and going by one of the questions above the more oils you have the more fluffy it will stay?

  • @afrobaby25 no I'm in Atlanta and this vid was crated when the weather was warm so there was no need to melt the shea butter, no u don't need alot of oils , I had them so I used them, but u don't have to use many oils, the first time u do try making your mix keep it simple u can always add more of something if u need to but u can't take it away once u put to much in

good luck and I hope that helped. also thanks for the question

  • Great video! Now I'm going to have to add coconut oil to my next batch of shea butter. I saw your comment about making too much and that was my first thought when I saw you did 16 oz of shea at one time, LOL. I did maybe 4-6 oz on mines and it last about a month.

Question: Where did you purchase your oils?

  • @cateyesmd the coconut oil I get from Dekalb farmers market the other oils I get from whole foods . thank u for your question

  • How can i get a sample of youre body butter?

  • @KidneyGirl91 Ok cool, good to know. it has been rather cold here :) thanks for the help!

  • @carrbarre it could be that u didn't use enough oil also cold weather will play a big factor in the hardness. the butter I made in this vid stayed light and whipped for a long time but the one I made recently is harder because it's cold now.

  • @carrbarre is it possible that i didn't use enough oil?
