Max & Tina's Oops Wedding
This is from March 1988
This is when Viki returned to Llanview from the Happy Horse Ranch just in time for Tina & Max's wedding , where Tina recited Cord's name instead of Max's at the alter.

  • @shrinefilms1 I remember Rauch said that they had to extend the story because of the strike. Perhaps this was still before the strike, as it seems early stages. I don't know. It's quite a trip though. I wasn't a fan of the 1968 one because I hate Rex and it was so hammy, but this is a great trip and such sincere performances.

Tina is the best. You do feel sorry for her, but no one does camp better.

  • Notice how Asa comes UP on Tina and she tenses up! He knows she's pullin' stunts BUT, he knows enough to know that HE DOESN'T KNOW. It's like he doesn't even need to be bothered w/ Tina's specifics. Bottom line... "She's a TRAMP!" to quote Asa!

  • @shrinefilms1 LOL, I watch Y&R too, so I know what you mean, but from what I have seen, he doesn't do that big of sweeps events. He's also left Y&R just a few days ago, I am wondering how it will effect the show. I think Maria Bell has kind of ruined the show though, the amount of annoying characters outweighs the good.

  • @soapfave06 Of COURSE, Rauch would be sweepin' it up, but the characters might be on Mars by this point. AHAHA!! I really cracked myself up on that one! Doesn't he stil do big sweeps on Y&R? One day Y&R was on at the same time as OLTL and Lauren was going to shoot her double in a mirror! It was like being a kid again! lol

  • @CarlD2 Ahhhh, the strike. That explains the revolving door of characters in '88/'89! "We don' need no STINKIN' writers... or MUSIC! LOL!"

The Old West was story line was pretty famous back in the day because it was done well. AND I loved it when Rex and Bo went back in time, and Nathalie as Maria was 100%.

SO funny how Tina can PLAY the ingenue, but never LOOKS the ingenue! It DOES NOT look like a duck!

  • I NEVER get tired of Tina's slip of the tongue! PRICELESS! And it is oh so Tina!

  • lol SUB BACK PLEASE

  • Wonderful! I'd never seen the Old West credits. They're fantastic. I like the spirit of the Old West characters - as silly as it sounds, I actually believe in them. OLTL did a good job of casting these new actors. Erika's work as Ginny is wonderful, creating a new character yet with traces of Viki.

Meanwhile we have the Tina wedding fiasco, which I've seen some of, but "I take thee Cord" never gets old. Loved all those flashbacks!

Was this before the strike began?

  • So cool to see more of the Old West Story, and I didn't know that they altered the end credits for the old West story as they had for Eterna. I wonder if Rauch would have done any more big Sweeps adventures past 1990 if he stayed. And Tina and Max's wedding! Thanks so much!
