Welcome to White City, where dreams are made and battles are held with greater excitement and ferocity! Move over, Pokétopia!
At last, I've finally decided to record this game after having finished the Pokémon Stadium LP a long while ago. Truth be told, I could've started recording this game at any time, but I elected not to. The main reason? I lacked a Transfer Pak.
Like its sister, Stadium 2 allows for the player to import their Pokémon from a Generation 1 or 2 Game Pak through a Transfer Pak. There, they can use their hard-raised Mons to cause terror among White City and go for gold. The only reason I got through Stadium 1 so quickly was because of the registered teams I had left over from my Blue cart. Stadium 2 is quite a step up in difficulty and the rental Pokémon are still terrible, so I wanted to have a bit of a failsafe.
For a long time, I could not bother with recording since I no longer had a working Transfer Pak, but one good friend of mine decided to pitch in and buy one for me! His name is Callum and he is a bro. If not for him, this LP probably would not exist!

So, anyway...
Pokémon Stadium 2 is a huge improvement from the first game. Now employing all of the Generation 2 Mons and a slew of new challenges and modes to try out, Stadium 2 is, in my opinion, THE definitive Pokémon battling game. The games that came after this couldn't really compare.
Colosseum and XD aren't really battlers since they have more of a single player focus, but their competitive self was rather limited. Battle Revolution TRIED to be like Stadium, but couldn't compare at all to Stadium 2. While it had lots of tournament battles and online play, it lacked more of the charm and other things that made Stadium 2 so great. PBR had no Minigames or Gym Leader Castle(you have no idea how much fun I'd have if I could smash Candice or Crasher Wake on the big screen!) and it definitely lacked the compendium for better battling(granted you can do that on the internet, but all the same).
This game is the game I hold in high regard when it comes to battling.
In this episode, I tour around White City. The basic premise of the LP is set: first, I will do the battles in Earl's Pokémon Academy, then move on to the Stadium, then try out the Minigames, then go on to the Gym Leader Castle, then end the game with the final encounter.
First stop, the Pokémon Academy! Here is where you learn all that is necessary to do well in this game by reading up on information, rules, and statistics of the Pokémon themselves. This also features a battling section to show you the ropes. This is not mandatory for game completion, but it should definitely be done for newcomers.
Ted Lewis voiced Tracy the Pokemon watcher on the TV show, correct?

@MageKnight404 Thats what I thought, he sounded familiar, back then. Man, I'm sharp considering I haven't played this since like late 2001...still best PKMN Stadium game, although they did take down some 2nd level attacks in power...Flamethrower, Razor Leaf, and Ice Beam.

Uhhh... Flamethrower and Ice Beam have been the same in EVERY generation. They've always been 95 power and 100 accuracy with 10% infliction of a status.
