Wyckham recorded PLEASE PLEASE ME as a favor to his producer, Andrew Loog Oldham, original manager/producer for the Rolling Stones. The CD also features an alternate take featuring piano in place of steel guitar. Both versions are great! Wyckham Porteous is a very under-appreciated artist in my opinion. Check out his song HARPER'S FERRY. It is about a contingent of Irish immigrants who seek a fresh start in America only to be conscripted to fight on opposing sides of the American Civil War.
Really great and unusual cover promoted some time ago by Johnnie Walker on BBC Radio 2 but as they say "some fell by the wayside" and it did'nt do anything in the UK charts
Your voice sounds Great on this song.

Wonderful performance of this Beatles classic.
Makes it sound like the great song it really is.
Love the Beatles but I always felt this song was thrown away in the early days.
What a great voice Wyckham Porteous has.
