Yesterday and today, 19 crocodiles of the critically endangered Philippine crocodile, Crocodylus mindorensis, were released back into the wild. These crocodiles were taken from the wild after hatching and raised in captivity for the first one and half years of their life. The Mabuwaya Foundation implements this head-start program in San Mariano (north Luzon, Philippines) to increase chances of survival of the young crocodiles. This movie shows a short impression of the release activities and the release of crocodile Nicky.
