your idea is good
but I am willing to bet Gm and Ford would rather go bankrupt and restructure themselves.
I seriously doubt they would accept .
Americans are going to be enraged when they learn the true cost Bush has saddled them with.
8 trillion in debt
5 trillion in bailouts so far
12 trillion and counting divide that up between all the American people and you could bail yourselves out.they robbed America to fill their own pockets they know

I agree!!!...let GM fail and when those 3 million UAW auto workers lose their jobs, the first thing they should do is remove all their money from the banks they do business with, then they should close out their 401k's because like you said...WE...the taxpayer should not be "bailing out" large corporations like AIG or Meryl Lynch...after all...they are the reason we are here yes??
Perhaps we should let Toyota and Honda run our banks..I dont see their CEO's taking extravagant junkits on our dime
