@SoulRipper66 I am not sure what you meant about Skashka; but the point in these marshal art type movies you have a hero type that never gets his ass kicked because that is how Hollywood does things; you got Chuck Norris to thank for that. I was just explaining the logic for Duncan's choice of sword; he got free training; so might as well use the weapon and the knowledge too. Its a fantastic tale to be sure and I wouldn't take it too seriously on way or another; its entertainment

@zenjim007 Dude....I donno if u heard about Skashka if u didnt plz check them and my point is these days u got a movie for example the main char knows...karate for example so he is an indestructible guy that no1 can touch it doesnt matter what kind of foe the man is against he is just super and same goes for the rest of the arts thats why I simply hate that shit

@zenjim007 Also the blade Scotsmen used in Duncan's time were heavy Claymore swords that were extremely huge and awkward compared to the grace, speed and overall strength of the Katana. These immortals are fighting for keeps, without quarter or mercy; the price if you lose...is your head! Like I said before it is about wise choices and not about tradition. When watching this series keep in mind that the training and skills Conner gave Duncan has kept him alive for centuries!

@SoulRipper66 Part of the charm of growing old is you learn many things; what will work and what is actually best. I have Scottish blood from my Mothers side; and know a thing or two about metallurgy and swords. The Katana or Samurai sword is steel that uses a folded process that makes it stronger than iron blades that Scotsman used. The Katana is regarded to be the finest combat sword ever created; so that makes it an ideal choice and a wise one as well.

Not all immortals are fans of combat..They learn what they must to survive!! As for his swordsmanship , he was trained by Connor who was trained by Ramerez (spelling sucks) Who spent close to a century in Japan learning the katana ...As for bullshit come on man your watchin a show about 400 year old men!! Reality not part of the package ...Just go with it lol
