University of Iowa College of Nursing:
The University of Iowa College of Nursing is world renown for producing quality nurse leaders who go on to careers as nursing researchers, college faculty members and administrators, hospital nurse managers and directors, and public policy advocates. In order to address the faculty shortage we have reduced enrollment in bachelor's degree programs and shifted resources to the preparation of larger numbers of graduate students and PhD prepared nurses who are qualified to teach. We are leaders in gerontological nursing, pain management across the lifespan, child and family health, anesthesia nursing, translating research for use in nursing practice and nursing systems.
