Second Iraqi Stamp Festival
Baghdad 30-31 December, 2009
The second Iraqi stamp conjoint exhibition with Kurdistan region governments (KRG) postal authorities held in Baghdad Hotel in Baghdad in the 30th and 31st of December, 2009 to conclude the Iraqi postal activities for the year 2009. A new stamp issue commemorating Amo Baba the legendary football mentor was released. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Minister of Communication Faroq Abdul Rahman, the director general of Iraqi Post and communications, KRG postal related staff and many media agencies to prove the goodwill of Iraqi postal authorities.
The stamp exhibition, which was organized by Iraqi post with KRG postal authorities showed different philatelic materials relating to different topics and mainly KRG postal materials, which were re-considered for local use within KRG reign.
I myself contributed using two panels titled:
•Covers from all over the world to my PO Box in addition to some other postal history items relating to the nineteens century
