Prowler - Worlds of Fun 2009

Worlds of Fun announces their 2009 addition with Prowler. The $8 million dollar Great Coasters International (GCI) creation a feature drop of 85 feet, and reaches a top speed of 51mph. Prowler runs on a track length of 3074 feet, and can only accommodate 850 people per hour. Prowler's manufacturer, GCI is recognized as the leader in high quality traditional wooden coasters, building award winning coasters such as Thunderhead (Dollywood) and Lightning Racers (Hershey Park).

Amusement parks aren't only for thrill seekers. Did it say anywhere in the press release that this would be a huge, massive, extreme thrill ride? Umm, no. So, don't tell them to try again, because the plan wasn't for a record-breaking wood coaster-but for a moderate thrill ride that all sorts of people would enjoy.
