"Little Willie" Littlefield Born Houston Texas September 1931. He started his recording career in the late 1940s with Houston label Eddie's Records. By 1949 he had moved to Los Angeles CA. to record with Modern Records. "Farwell" / "Drinkin' Hadacol" was his second release for Modern in 1949.
Hadacol has a great story, And many performers did songs about Hadacol. Look it up !

  • This disc is gold, thanks. And, yeah, Hadacol was amazing cure-all tonic made of herbs, berries, and secret hobo spices. But mostly alcohol. In the early 1950's, Hank Williams was in a travelling show with George Burns and Gracie Allen (of all people), peddling this porch climber :) Best from RonO in Winnipeg.

  • @rcavictorman If you watch this on full screen mode you can read the performers on the Hadacol Caravan Show stage at 1:30. This just one year! and they did the show for many years. Senator Le Blanc was pulling in $20 million a year! back in the 1950s!!!

Thanks for commenting. Tiny Hill's Hadacol song is next.
