In this video, you can hear a technically most primitive recording - made with a cheap MP3 player, 20 metres from the grand piano in a church with very difficult acoustics - of the beginning of an improvisation roughly in the style of Scriabin-Poulenc-Ravel. The reason that you can hear only the beginning is that the MP3 player ran out of memory. About 30 minutes before this performance, a friend who is an organist called me and said that he was curious to hear how my work with an arrangement of an organ toccata was proceeding. Before showing him that, however, I played four other pieces to warm up - and one of them (the last) you can hear here. I had not touched a piano in several weeks when this was recorded, due to my scientific studies, it might be mentioned.
