I'm qualified to test gear for Backpacker because every free moment I have I'm in New Hampshire's White Mountains. All year long I go hiking and camping in the Whites and throughout New England. I'm constantly out there in some of the worst weather in the world putting the gear I use through serious torture-testing so any reviews I write are guaranteed trustworthy for those that want their gear to be able to handle it all.
