They are junior high school girls, living in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. "The Warabe", they are called, is a famous performance group in Kumamoto. Nowadays, we have a few performers of traditional Japanese dance and they are one of them. "warabe" means children in Japnanese. They are young as their group's name shows. However they already have more than 10 years experience in dance. The members are Kurumi Nakamura, age14; Ayano Uemura, 13; and Kae Horio, 13. They are coached and managed by Ms. Kasei Nakamura. They have a large repertoire, nearly 50 performances, and they take over 50 stages a year. About 10 little girls have been waiting in the wings and kept practicing to be the next generation of The Warabe.
