This song is off of the album "On This Perfect Day". It was released in 2009 and is of the genre progressive metal.
Another side-project of the brilliant Arjen Anthony Lucassen. More melancholic (and a bit heavier) than his other known projects such as

There is NO ALBUM which better describes the process of going through a deep depression than On This Perfect Day of Guilt Machine. With top class music and lyrics from Arjen Lucassen, as always --- one of my favourites ever. I can play this on repeat for hours, actually I do that a lot.
