experimenting with lighting in which a persons face walks in and out of light.

which one do you think is better???? the first one or the tilt??????

basically just imitating german expressionism, citizen kane and the genius of greg toland. however my lights were not powerful enough to get a large depth of field (i used desk lamps with newspaper and masking tape to direct the light!)

  • great job man. Although, you left out using Wide angle lens. which Toland always does to accompany the "face-in-the-shadows" to make it seem that the person reappears huge and scary in front of the screen after walking through darkness. Nevertheless. Great Job.

  • a puerto rican Orson.
