Deer season offers Kentucky hunters a variety of firepower options. Farmer opts for a modern pistol. Although Farmer's .44 magnum pistol is a bit less common than the bow or a rifle, it is up to the task of taking a doe. Follow his adventure near the Shelby-Franklin county line.

  • @comptonhood2 Ten I think, it might have been eleven, but that's over a 20 year period. Depends on what part of the state. There are areas that only allow shotguns.

  • @IamUncledeuce approx. how many have u killed with that?

  • I've hunted deer for years with a .357 mag. Beats lugging a rifle all day long.

  • @Jebusjoose the hole would be exactly .429 hundreths of an inch in diameter...which oddly enough is the same diameter of the bullet itself. ( =

  • Nice Job Tim, I've hunted off an on for 30 years now in KY with the 44 mag in one flavor or another. Many good meals come from in front of the muzzle of a handgun. No bigger rush !

  • @Bubbars last timei checked you're supposed to leave it in a cooler filled with ice and empty the water that is created by the ice melting, also fill up the coller of ice every day. The water help to drain the blood from the meat.

After a couple days of that you can freeze it.

  • @rueve1311 Probably your problem is lack of knowledge in ballistics. Do you go target shooting enough with your dad?

  • How big of a hole would a .44 bullet put in a deer?

  • i wish hand gun hunting was legal in canada maybe 1 day they will wake up and see thats its a great alternative for highly populated areas as it dosnt have a super flat trajectory but rather it flys like a brick and is a great 1-200 yard gun but after that its already in the dirt. unless your using 1 of the mini hand rifles like tc encore ect...

  • Your doing what you want to ;Handgun Hunt. I Fully Support Handgun Hunting and salute You. Good hunters luck, Weidmansheil, in German too You All !The Best.
