Un bolero mexicano, but originally an Argentinean tango called El Choclo. Not related in any way to the Terrance and Philip movies "Asses of Fire" or "Asses of Fire 2."

Sally Station-guitarra, Swingbossa-guitarron (not really; just acoustic bass), and Homer/Janet on maracas.

Sorry for the poor video; I was using an older laptop. Hope my new mic makes up for it in sound at least.

  • This song is originally called "El Choclo", is a tango from Argentina. Lyrics: Enrique Santos Discépolo and Carlos Marambio Catán Music: Angel Villoldo.

    A great version, anyway...congratulations...

  • Ah, gracias por la información! Of course, it sounds like a tango now that you bring it up. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Well, Angel Villoldo is a great composer from Argentina... He had another hits like "La Cumparsita"

Some pieces of his music got a lot of success in Carlos Gardel voice...

    I hope you'll make another tangos...that's fine...

  • I didn't realize it was the same composer! I do like Carlos Gardel, so we'll delve into the tango book for sure.

    Matu.

  • Interesting, I've never heard these lyrics before. "Conjuro extraño de un amor hecho cadencia."

  • Sexy. I dunno how to tango, but this performance makes me wish I could.
