  • Taxpayers who rank in the top 50 percent of taxpayers by income pay virtually all individual income taxes. In all years since 1990, taxpayers in this group have paid over 94 percent of all individual income taxes. In 2000, 2001, and 2002, this group paid over 96 percent of the total.

  • @vechorik and your point is...? Here are "facts" presented by one of the richest men in the world. Warren Buffett. A middle class individual making $60,000 a year pays a "higher" percentage of taxes than a billionaire. Taxes should be paid through "percentage" of earnings no matter how rich. Progressive taxation is a "reality" in "successful" societies and always has been. Your weak argument and conservative talking points has no merit.

  • multinational corporations should have a 30% tax, and no loopholes. Small businesses who remain in America should have ZERO PERCENT income tax.

American businesses making American jobs here, and nowhere else, should have the government's entire support.

  • Cutting spending would also help the taxes, vote ron paul to get the spending down a trillion dollars the first year. Most of it coming from fruitless wars.

  • Taxing the rich is definitly important to create a welfare state. However, a welfare state also consists of higher taxes in generall. If you look at some of the most known social democratic states like Norway, Sweden or Denmark, you notice that the tax rate on normal people (not just the rich) is significantly higher then it is in many other countries.

People cant leave out this important fact, because it is important.

  • @Meade556 You can't raise taxes enough to solve America's financial problems. I like Ron Paul's plan, which cuts NO government assistance. He leaves assistance plans in place as he cuts unnecessary depts, increases pollution fines, closes unnecessary military bases home, etc. Look at his plan. You might like it.

  • @SocialistLiberal I like Ron Paul's plan that does NOT cut any government assistance as he balances the budget by closing unnecessary military bases and bringing a lot of the troops home. 1 trillion cut first year by closing unnecessary depts. of the government, increasing pollution prosecution, yet closing the EPA Lots of good ideas in his plan if one looks.

  • @vechorik That is simply not true, right now the top 1% pay 23% of their incomes to the Treasury, some as little as 1% according to Bloomberg News and the IRS, in 1955, they paid 55% of their incomes into the Treasury. It is not radical or class warfare to say, how about we push that up to 30 or 35% before we go after the most vulnerable in our society.

  • @vechorik how much percentage of income do they earn compared to everyone else???

  • @kenzo5716 No , the top 10% pay 70% of the all income taxes so that means the majority only pay around 30%. You really need to finish high school. Also, the "poor" pay "nothing" at all. FYI, this sick banckrupt country has families with "6 generations" of lazy, worthless breeders living off of the taxpayers and creating even more breeders to carry on the family traditions. Roll back leftist "entitlements", stop foreign aid and wars for Israel. Stop robbing the Social Security "RETIREMENT" funds.

  • @kenzo5716 Your sense of entitlement is staggering. If 50% of the population HAS ALL THE MONEY, then those people pay ALL THE TAXES. It is that simple. A certain percentage of everyone's income recycles back into the tax pool to pay for the things we all use. Trying to say that your money is being stolen and given to lazy people? You sir, are a fucking idiot.

  • @123456avp Taxing the "rich snobs". The top 10% of "rich snobs" pay 70 percent of all income taxes, you ignorant marxist. Anyways, you could double their tax and the gov would just give it to the banks like Obama did or the military industrial complex like Obama did or even wall street like Obama did. Did you get anything? Hhhhmmm? Did you inherit any "stimulus" money? You are fighting a losing battle, dude.

  • @leonrymz I second the emotion! Where's Jefferson Davis when we need him?
