On 10 November 1975 the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior with all hands. One year later Gordon Lightfoot wrote "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" in honour of the 29 men who lost their lives on that fateful day. Now, 32 years later to the day, I have compiled a little slide show to pay my respects. We will never forget that day.

I saw this on MySpace. Very nice and I'm especially appreciative of your using the original 1976 version of the song rather than the remake. The slower tempo and some of the instrumental effects are absent from that newer version. Excellent.

Gord didn't have this censored. He is a much kinder and generous person. Warner Brothers did. Record companies are notorious money grubbing thiefs.

And I disagree with you about his talent being gone. I have seen him 3 times within the past 4 years and he is still awesome. He gives all his heart and soul to his performances.

What? There are 2 versions Gordon did? Yah know this may answer why just a day ago when listening to it on my laptop iTunes and it sounded slower and i was like WTF is going on here? Is it me? I didn't know this crucial info if it is true. Thanx.
