Hi You Spark of LIFE! I too have MCTD and was diagnosed about 14 years ago. I had found out after extended research my Rheumatologist. I lived by myself at the time (was 34 yrs old) and had call in sick from time to time, not knowing what was afflicting me. I just thought i had joint pains for all the overtime hours i worked. I take 10mg of Prednisone and Hydroxyquioline once daily. i can do things now, although a bit limited. For you, VICTORY is coming soon..will always have you in my Prayers

Hi Mia! I just want to know did you attend school when you first found out? And what do you do during cold and flu season to keep from getting sick? Also what do you do to protect yourself from the sun? How "normal" is your life? My 14 year old niece was just diagnosed with MCTD, Myositis, Reynauds, & I think SLE Lupus. We are looking answers. Keep posting my dear. I hope you are doing well.

@theburg727 Hi yes i did attend school when first diagnosed. My doctor saw that i was not keeping up. I guess thats how we can put it. I actually just stay worm, I make sure to wash my hands and take showers everyday (aleady do) kinda just stay away from anything that might be harmful. My life is normal but it really isn't, i can't write more than maybe 5 sentences, i cna't sit on the floor. My back bothers me, i have to take the elevator. Thank you for your comment. please mesage me
