  • He's lying; its not bringing in top talen: 85% of H1Bs earn less than $50K year some as low as $9 hour with 85% awarde to the Indian body shops for domestic outsourcing - NOT the best and brightest for R&D and etc which earn $120K year or more. H1B is a random drawing therefoe could not be selecting the very best and brightest; its a cheap labor program.

  • Good! The H-1b visa was a temporary program designed to fill SHORTAGES.

    We are going through Great Depression II. You can't seriously argue that that is a shortage that needs to be filled!

    Of course companies want a higher number of visas. They can pay these workers less and dangle a green card on a string - preventing them from bargaining for higher wages or better working conditions.

    You - Mr. Attorney - are helping companies exploit foreign workers and displace American workers.
