  • LOL Paul Robinson is so lame McClaren changed him for the back-up goalie! LOL This is great!!! Every english here talking about Cannon's and how American defense is shit and the mistake in the Red Bulls-Galaxy's ninth goal and look how robinson handed Germany that goal! God what shitty english defense that was! Playing at Wembley! In London, England! With 70,000 people behind you! Not some goalie from your regular league, too! Your national team! HAHAHAHA LMFAO!!!!

  • The UEFA Champions League and the Libertadores Cup yield majority of points followed by their minor competitions UEFA Cup and Copa Sudamericana, respectively. The point assignment system is MUCH lower for CAF, CONCACAF, OFC and Asian continental tournaments.

I think they should make the international friendlies count for more - giving teams an incentive to actually put forth an effort! But then again, besides us soccer geeks, who cares about rankings? I don't think they're used for anything.

  • That is one of the big problems with FIFA's ranking. For some reason they use results from last 4 years (and until 2006 it was 8yr), so it is VERY SLOW to update to current conditions - or forward expections (btw margin of victory is great for gamblers).

My main complaint of IFFHS (based in Germany btw) is they give too high credit for European and South American cups (of which 90% of the clubs in the world are not invited to participate in) and give little respect to others.

  • Chelsea should be there instead of Newcastle.

How can juve be on there when they were in serie B last Year???
