I was really off my game today. This video is quad-speed except for one short segment which is double-speed. That way, I was able to condense a half hour of gameplay fo0tage into approximately eight and one-third minutes. There were a few instances where I threw down my primary and/or backup weapon(s), disgusted with my ineptitude, and switched to either my Bizon (in Agroprom) or PPSh-41 (in Yantar).

  • Good song, no?

Anyways, we all have our days. But still, it makes for good video material!

  • This is my favorite CKY song. *w00t*

  • @Slic3R1 Ya depth of field. I mentioned in my other comment that Call of Duty does it well.

  • @IggyHazard yes Killing Floor has it

  • @Slic3R1 They have that in the other STALKER games. I think Killing Floor also has that. I'm usually focusing on-target, so I'm not sure. I know Borderlands has that.

  • @IggyHazard no no i was replying to Otacon237 you know depth of field like when you aim down your sights the the image on the sides get's blurry similar to real life aiming

  • @Slic3R1 Line of sight?

  • @Otacon237 Depth of field?

  • The Call of Duty series does it ok. They have something called "Depth of Field" where things get blurry to simulate your focus changing. For example, when reloading your weapon the focus is on it, so the rest of your view is blurry. When aiming with ghost ring sights, the ring itself is blurry (or...ghostly?) but what your target clear, and the edges of the screen are blurry to simulate peripheral vision. You'd need a wrap-around monitor of some sort to truly incorporate peripheral vision.

  • Stereoscopic vision would be hard to represent on a single plane-of-view.

  • I don't think they need to make it blurry. Just like they don't need to obscure the screen with an inside-the-helmet-or-gasmask-view. Monitor screens are confined enough as they are. No need to confine an FPS player's peripheral vision more than it already is.
