While many in the scientific community are excited at the prospect of battling aging, Richard Dawkins considers the idea foolish and a little presumptuous asking, are we really prepared to be the last generation to reproduce?

  • @clouc1223 I think you're forgetting that "His word" (I'm assuming you mean the bible), was actually not written in English. What you've been reading is the edited and translated version written by men a few centuries ago. I'd advise you not to have too much confidence in words written by those men as they were very ignorant compared to today's standards, and probably edited the bible in many ways that would change the meaning of the original words.

  • Numbers wise, it's okay for the few who gain immortality to use their extended life to shorten that of others to keep population size low. Morally, this would be hideous.

  • @TheOneAndOnlyNerd1 Right, I mean how hard could space travel and immortality be to implement?

  • @clouc1223

You realize you just tried to refute Richard Dawkins by saying God disagrees with him, right?

  • How do we know that this is the natural progression of things? God obviously did not intend for Earth to exist forever. His word makes that very clear. So at some point we will leave this world. May be some years down the line physically. Just know everyone will spiritually. Where will you end up in eternity? May God Guide You.

  • Bullshit, we just need to expand our habitat by leaving this palnet and we're all right being immortal. Problem solved for ya Richie.

  • @MrBrony444 if everyone had 1000 years to live nobody would ever get anything done.

  • @anonazero ...no? Unless you completely misunderstood what what I wrote then you are deluded. Let me elaborate, if the world population rapidly increased (e.g. if we were all immortal), we would have a water crisis, the water cycle wouldn't sustain us, as I said, it wouldn't keep up with increased water consumption. As well as that, even if we had the resources to build water filtration systems, the amount of energy to run enough to sustain the human population would be enormous.

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo

"weeding out all the religious, conspiracy theorists, holocaust deniers, racists, homophobes, and any other kind of moron."

So like people who purposely close their minds to evidence of conspiracy are more intelligent than those who don't eh?

    Bull.

People do actually meet together and plan nefarious actions resulting in the death and injury of other human beings. These plans are often leaked or released.

Most "conpiracy "theorists" merely point this out.

  • @thejdcole so what you're saying is... i'm right...
