This is a very wonderful language and takes me back to the days of our Lord Jesus.
Christ I love you.
To the Syrian/Malankara/Oriental churches I love you.

How do you say God in Aramaic?
-
I think this was not a modification in the sense that is in Revelation. In Rev. it means one who wants to add or take off a part by his own will, "personal belief" or desire to change the word of God. The name Jesus is just a natural modification that happens in all names, when they are transfered to another language. Remember names like Steve/Estêvão/Esteban/Éttiene. Or the common name John, João, Johannes, etc.

I'm an atheist. This is still one of the most beautiful things I've heard in a while. Why does modern English have to be such a clunky mess?

Indeed Amen, but remember my friend that Jesus' teaching and promise is the RESURRECTION OF THE BODY, there is no Christianity or eternal life without this truth
