What is kk slider's soundfont

I get many requests how to make these and most people manage to rip the soundfont from the animal crossing wild world rom but have no idea what it is or how to use it.
By showing some soundsamples i try to explain.
If you want the soundfont extracted: drag animal crossing over the buggy program vgmtrans look for sbank_0062 and right click, convert to dls.

1. a soundfont is for musical notes just like a text font is for letters and digits. It contains instruments and also information how to play these(attack, decay, sustain, etc.)
2. most programs use the standard general midi soundfont gm.dls
3. after making a midi knowing what instruments kk slider's soundfont has i render it to a wave file. The program i use for that is audio compositor. For that program all you need is a midi and a soundfont and space on your hard disc.

You hear all the instruments of the KK Slider soundfont. After that you hear how through the fire and flames kk slider version would sound without the KK Slider soundfont used and what you probably hear if you don't render it.
Update: some software start counting the instruments from 1 instead of 0. So all instruments numbers are incremented by one.
Some programs do have soundfont support, like Fruity Loops. In Winamp you can also change the soundfont.
If your midi editor doesn't support it you can still change it by using a soundfont VSTi, and the programs savihost and yoke. You can google that.

I'm on a Mac and can't get VGMTrans running in anything. In Wine it says it crashes. Is there anyway you can link a download to the SoundFont directly?

Is it possible to download the soundfont WITHOUT having to download the entire Animal Crossing Wild World ROM? Can't I just get the soundfont?! At Burger King, they don't make you order an entire meal when you ask for salt! (Then again, who would go to Burger King for salt? I need to get some better analogies.)

1. is the examle the easter egg song from mario paint snes after the O in the title screen exploded when you click on it or did it originate from somewhere else?

2. It can also be done in mario paint composer (you have to rename the file soundset3.sf2 first).
