High church lutheran vespers 4 - recessional, hymn and blessing

Vespers in the Cathedral of Uppsala, 29th August 2009, with Arbetsgemenskapen kyrklig förnyelse (Swedish Church Union, catholic/high church renewal movement within the Church of Sweden) singing the hymn O Jerusalem, bland städer (Urbs beata Jerusalem, Blessed city of Jerusalem). Outside the church the bishops, priests, deacons, ministrants, choir and other people gather and sing the signature hymn of the Swedish Church Union Med Gud och hans vänskap (With God and his friendship). Thereafter the visiting bishop The Right Reverend Geoffrey Rowell (Church of England) is giving the blessing. Next to him is The Right Reverend Biörn Fjärstedt, bishop emeritus of the diocese of Visby (Church of Sweden).

@sfowatcher I was fed that koolaid for the longest time also... the Catholic Church is the only way... but there are many of us RC's who know better. There is no "real deal" its too complicated for that!

I am sorry to say this, but within the Catholic Church there isn't indeed a "high" and "low" church; in fact, the Catholic Church is noweverdays splitted in hundreds churches: conciliar, traditional, conservative, modernistic, etc, etc.

Bull shit sfowatcher the Catholic Church has a high and low church, thanks to vatican 2. We have high tridentine mass and an ordinary low mass, come on get it right!!!

@sfowatcher I have already done that and do that I, but the reason is not that the liturgy is more beautiful, because it often is not.
