The following are words spoken at Taras Memorial Service. Written and read by Pat Smith.
Who was Tara? Tara was a friend, co-worker and one of the most giving people I ever had the pleasure to know. With Tara, it was always about the other person, not about her.
When I was asked if I would like to share with all of you today, I gathered thoughts and notes from my co-workers. Here are a few of the comments I received:
Accomplished adult, talented professional, valued member of the Arris Credit department and at the same time had a childlike nature about herself. Bouncy personality and small build gave her the appearance of a little pixie. Always going somewhere or doing something. Im sure going to miss the stories from her weekend adventures.
Tara was the only person I know that carried her cell phone to our company meetings. She always had it with her!!!
We used to argue about GA Football all the time. She knew more about sports than any woman I know. She was my GA bulldog buddy.
She was innocent and so loving. Tara would always come by and say good morning, get her glass of tea and coffee. Yes, both! The she would turn on Q100 and drink her tea and serenade me along with her radio.
I admired, even envied Tara, in a good way, how she lived her life by doing things, going places more than I was. She would describe her event to us and they were so entertaining. That is something I hope to change in my life in getting more active in volunteering and going to different events.
She was so caring and giving. The best listener and could give the best advice on where to go in Atlanta!
Tara could argue any point and do it well!
Tara took my jokes in good spirit all the time.
She taught me how to do Facebook!
Multi tasking How many people do you know that can eat, drink, text, instant message and talk on the phone while releasing orders from credit hold? Tara could and she did it well. All of it!
Tara was always volunteering somewhere; giving of her self, time, and money.
Tara cherished her family and friends more than any other.
Tara had it all, personality, looks, beautiful hair, smarts, a giving nature and contagious smile. What more could anyone want? We are all blessed to have shared her life that was far too short. Tara, as you look down upon us, you should be very proud! Tara we will miss you but we know that your life was fulfilling because you truly LIVED RIP.
Feel free to share memories of Tara here for the world to see. Kind words or perhaps a short story of an experience with her. Add as many as you like as you remember them. Thanks so much.
