  • Damn, can you imagine Bonnie Raitt not having been a public musician? Man, that would have been a loss for the human race.

  • Bonnie is brilliant! My slide guitar, all around model human being muse.

  • @Clarkecars If Bonnie is a Marxist. Then every American Soldier who volunteered to enter the Armed Forces to fight is a Marxist. Every Republican today is a Marxist too. You idiot fool dont know your Enemies from your Allies

  • @Clarkecars What the hell are you commenting about?

  • fab

  • it's unclear how clarkecars decided that she's a marxist and that line about the soldier carrying her load is an insult to those of us who (voluntarily) served and hold similar views as Bonnie. It's scary how loosely people throw around terms like Marxist, Socialist, Communist without much thought, especially without knowing anything about the person.

  • @Clarkecars If Bonnie's a Marxist/hypocrit as you say, she sure doesn't enjoy the fruits of her "7 figure income".

She's the hardest working musician around, always touring, always giving people their money's worth. Have you ever went to one of her concerts. I certainly don't begrudge her her bit of fame. She's an enormous talent and a very hard worker. Maybe the concept of all people getting the same, as in communism/marxism is flawed but so is capitalism taken to an extreme.

  • @caraphyllis It can be Marxist too.

  • @Clarkecars what if they gave a war and no one showed up?

  • @Clarkecars I listened carefully but didn't hear Bonnie call herself a "Marxist." I heard "Quaker" with respect to her family, and "activist" with respect to herself. You labeled Bonnie a Marxist, assuming, I guess, that anybody who cares about the rights of working people, poor people or people who have been subject to colonization is automatically a Marxist. Not so. Caring about equality and human rights is not Marxist. It's democratic.

  • Destiny happened.
