  • @JohnMagillM - The Americans did not declare war on Germany until April 6, 1917. There were no Americans in the Christmas Truce of 1914. It was also not just one occurrence: there were unofficial ceasefires all up and down the battle lines. Read 'Silent Night' by Stanley Weintraub if you would like to learn more.
