@JohnMagillM - The Americans did not declare war on Germany until April 6, 1917. There were no Americans in the Christmas Truce of 1914. It was also not just one occurrence: there were unofficial ceasefires all up and down the battle lines. Read 'Silent Night' by Stanley Weintraub if you would like to learn more.

Appreciate the video and the song by Garth Brooks. You put it all together though and is good.

It is a wonderful song, and truly a Christmas miracle. We Americans have much to learn from the Christmas truce of 1914.
