A quick clip of the Union Jack 45. The first run is with the JTM style tube rectifier using a NOS Mullard GZ34. The second run is with the Plexi style SS recto. Flip of a switch and you get that nice tube sag or that tight solid state crunch. Big thanks to Chris Meadors on the VOS 58 Les Paul for making her sing. Visit www.unionjackamps.com to find out more.
@fend14 I think so. The customers I've built the amp for think so. Very nice and relatively simple mod.

does a switchable rectifier in a JMP make much of a difference ? worth it to mod it ?

@Japocaster1
Thanks for the input! I hesitate even doing clips. Hard to capture the dynamics of the amp with cheap recording gear and then make it stand out on folks computer speakers. But I got so many requests, I figured I had to do something. You can go to the site and buy one. Then you can feel the tone all on your own. \m/ Thanks again.

Sounded a wee bit flat, like just on the verge of getting that AC/DC crunch. Possibly a little more volume on the amp to get more drive & brightness, and some more intence playing dynamics. All the fundamentals are there, just a little too layed back. Crank it, and attack that guitar. Like Angus would.
Just some freindly critisizm. Good job.
