best rounds I have used so far are the Remington 22 Target in the yellow 100 count box. My Eley for my Anschutz hates my P22 and my 597

Just picked up my Walther P22 today, haven't fired any rounds yet cause the weather is crappy and I am too cheap to pay to use a firing range..hehe.. but I picked up some Winchester Xpert 22 Hollow Points 36 GR. Hope they work OK.

Honestly, it has worked like a charm for me and yes I recomend getting this pistol as your first. Recoil is very minimal and since 22lr ammo is cheap, get a quality brand like CCI stingers or something.

I will buy a Walter P22 in the following months and I have a question about the 5" version (the 3.4" is not legal here in Canada ... classified as a concealable weapon)
Can you shoot with the 5" barrel but without the stabilizer, or is it not recommended?

You can but it looks a little silly and is not as accurate as with the compensator on.

Why not? I live in a country where there is very low crime and lots of coldness, did you have something else in mind for me to get to protect my face from the cold?
