Cephalopods where a shelled squid like animal .It swam the Paleozoic seas , it was mere inches to 15 feet in length during the Ordovician period 440 million years old.The largest animal on Earth back then.

  • It was a 3 year lag between finding the 2 cephalopod halfs.Better than reading magazines in the waiting room!

  • While my wife waited to see the Dr. me and the kids would go fossil hunting at the fossil exposure in front of the hospital !

  • Devonian fish have been found in Northern Ohio .Huge 33 foot long Dunkleosteus as large as a school bus with incredibly powerfull bitting plates (not teeth).

  • Ordovician age fish have never been found in Ohio.
