I know it's a feature, but it's a unrealistic one.
And if you look on the humoristic side: Lazy Valve recycled the rocket.

I guess VALVE was too lazy to make a new Entity_rocket and used the RPG Rocket instead , but one of its properties is that it follows DA RED LIGHT *_* Shinyyy (Flies towards it)
