@Arwingpilot so if i'm right bassically it thinks the land is water so mario cannot interact with it like land and can't get back on because there is no dock peice(the one were the boat came from) to make the game think it's land so just like normal you cant get on land with out that peice nothing ever told the game to get out of the water cause you were in the boat still right?

Ah okay, that makes it clearer, thanks @Arwingpilot

You can't go left, unfortunately... It's block off by a world border.

What happens if you go all the way to the left?
Would you be able to get to world 8 using that glitch?

Nope! The INSTANT you "Step" left, into the water, you can NEVER get back on land! The only way to get to world 8 instantly is to use the first two whistles from World 1, using one in World 1 and another in the warp zone.

I'm aware of the "using whistles in the warp zone" method @Arwingpilot
But what I was wondering if it is possible to use that glitch to get to world 8 WITHOUT going into the water... as in, moving around while on land or something like that.

Sorry, my bad. No. Basically, the only reason Mario can walk on water is because the game thinks the player is still in the boat. Before moving the direction the player pressed, the game checks what type of tile is next and whether it is walkable or not so water is walkable. However, this does not mean that you can walk across the land. Whether you are in the boat or not, basic land tiles are not walkable. (Does that make sense? I am well known for wording things badly!)

Let me check. Are you saying Mario can only move along the designated paths while on land? @Arwingpilot

@neoYTPism
Yes. On land, Mario can only travel along the bars, connecting each "Stop point" for Mario, like a coin, level, castle etc.
