As I see (and hear) it, Loneliness is the best song ever, in the entire rock history!
Captured here from the second Bosnia concert, at the Beacon Theatre, in N.Y.C.

  • Is that Alto Reed from Seger's band on sax?

  • Yes, he's the one. Alto participated on all three Bosnia shows.

  • I saw a video of GFR playing Inside Looking Out from back in 1970. They made so much music with the most basic instruments. Raw guitar and bass with little effects, and a drum kit with 1 raised tom a floor tom, a snare, and a bass drum, and 3 cymbols with the high hat. Very very raw and basic, but it sounded so FUCKING GOOD!

  • "If we don't stop what we all see is wrong,

I guarantee you mankind won't live long"

thank you John.. thank you Mark..

I imagine the happyness of Mark singing this song along with sinfonic orchestra... great !! a dream come-true

  • Pls explain to me again why these guys are not in the R&RHOF...Did I miss something..are the panel seeing something that I don't..,,these guys are great.. and this is coming from an old guy who have seen them a million times...

  • I'm from Brazil, and in my youth, when he heard the music of GFR, they taught me many important things with their music, and now 54, I am pleased to be able to see something on youtube ever imagine how it was, but left large marks on my heart and who used to date in my life, Long live rock and Grand Funk Railroad, Mark Farner hugs, he comes to São Paulo to make a sound in my studio, because I am a professional musician, also influenced by them.

  • @mike2121953 Not in the hall of fame? SHAME on them. As for rolling stone--- they dismissed Led Zep as not relevent in the 70s ( in their prime)

  • MORTAL!!!!

  • This song was fantastic. It really showed what this band was capable of. All are great musicians. Don Brewer can play with anyone. Why they aren't in the Hall Of Fame is beyond me. How many platinum albums do you need? I think t comes down to someone just doesn't like them. Iggy is in, God bless him, but come on, GFR did 10 times the what he did. The other strange thing is, unless I missed it somehow, they were never in Rolling Stone. Nothing. Must have pissed someone off at some point.

  • Don Brewer was the best drummer and still is to me, I loved this band, wished they were still together today.

  • Real Grand Funk, not the current group touring, doing the only live recorded version of this great tune I know about:

  • ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  • a fucking great song

  • Yes, that is Mark Farner as I remember him. Still teasing and rocking us with his rock ! Still in the best league since the seventies ! Respect Mark !! Respect !!!
