@USCGRecruiting Sometimes you need to go by what's right, instead of logic...or the books. Taking someone in because they are black, or female is ridiculous. Affirmative action will backfire. It already has in some of the other branches. But don't take my word for it, though. I take OCD medicine.

@USCGRecruiting The people at the very top need to wake up. I would have loved to join the USCG, but they'd rather do affirmative action- take people who have a very good chance of being unqualified, over someone like me...who IS qualified, but takes ocd medicine. They think I'll go psycho or something. That's never once happened. No crimes, either. So what about those who smoke and might have a nic-fit? They won't get cranky and go nuts?

What a joke. Looks just like Navy bootcamp...a bunch of medium intensity exercising and classroom instruction.

@USCGRecruiting I'd assume its just the USCG, USAF and NAVY that have lots of class room instruction. If extensive class room instruction is part of the Army, I hope they would have this standing option. Although, some say they teach you not to fall asleep. When fatigue hits its hard to fight off.
