Melinda Doolittle is an amazing singer, there's nothing she can't sing well - no question. Possibly the best singe ever on Am.Idol. But she lacks "that" star presence. You don't sell steak, you sell the sizzle.
She always looked amazed that people liked her. She never started to look like she was pleased, instead of frightened.

I think this was by far the best performance--by anyone--of the entire season. Maybe one of the best ever on Idol. Such stunning, raw passion.

i stopped watching american idol after she didnt win...im sorry but can you hear her? man you have to know music and allow it to move you in a way that you can not describe...her voice is all i need...and the young whitney too...
